Above is a photo of Brazil nuts, we visited many Quilombola (rural) communities who rely on them for their diet and income- however many communities are facing challenges with government conservation laws that are limiting their access to their traditional way of life.
For the next 5 months I will be studying and traveling in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. Starting in Belem, Brazil to study in the Amazon, next Rio de Janeiro to see the beaches, to Buenos Aires for the city, and then to Patagonia for the beauty. Follow my blog to see where adventures will lead me!
